A Typical Costa Rica Tour

The average tourist spends anywhere between 7 to 10 days, but many tour companies are offering full 10-14 day tours. One Costa Rican-based company called Costa Rica Tours offers tourists an 11 day tour where you are doing different things for the entire 11 days and it’s very well planned out because you’re seeing a lot of the country on their itinerary.

The first night is usually when you’re getting settled into your hotel and then day 2 is when you start off by visiting a coffee plantation since coffee is one of the products produced out of Costa Rica that is also a mainstay in their economic background.

Day 3 you're visiting a village in Cartago to where the tour guide gives you some background information about a young girl witnessing an apparition (she testifies bearing witness on seeing the Virgin Mary) and then the tour continues on to another town where you spend the night at a plantation overlooking Lake Angostura.

Day 4 Your journey takes you to the small village of Tucurrique for a short cooking lesson in tortilla making from the natives and other authentic Costa Rican cuisines.

Day 5 is a hiking adventure in learning about the Costa Rican indigenous people called the Kekoldi and you get a tour by a Kekoldi leader and you will spend a night at a hotel that’s just steps from the Caribbean Sea.

Day 6 is a leisure day spent swimming, hiking, and even seeing wildlife on the Gandoca Wildlife reserve near the hotel.

Day 7 you'll board a flight from Limon to Guanacaste to where you get to tour some of the most spacious ranches and beaches and spend a night at 4 star hotel near the town of Tamarindo. You’re on your own after the days’ activities which many people take it upon themselves to go sightseeing or soaking up rays and taking in other tours before continuing with their main tour group.

Day 8 is going on a tour of the artisian village of Guaitil where you can try your hand at some authentic pottery making with the Chorotega Indians who’s centries old tradition of pottery making is still the mainstay of this particular group of Indians. After you spend a good deal of time making a few pots and learning about pottery, tourists are encouraged to go check out the little gift and pottery shops in the town of Guatil.

Day 9 takes you on a tour of Santa Rosa National Park which is home to the dry rainforest and a historical landmark for two important battle conflicts.

The tour makes a stop in the town of Liberia-the center of Costa Rica’s agricultural region to the northwest part of the country and later staying a night at a Las Espuelas a working cattle ranch.

Day 10 You will return to San Jose to spend overnight at a luxury hotel in the downtown part of the city.

Day 11 The tour wraps up with tours of the Gold Museum, National or Jade museum-this depends on the itinerary that’s planned at the time a tourist arranges a trip through Costa Rican Tours.

A final dinner is planned at an authentic Costa Rican restaurant that specializes in Costa Rican cuisine. You spend a final night before leaving for the airport the next morning at Grano De Orio. A tour like this would run a typical visitor about $2500-3000 depending on the tour package you select since student and group tours are usually cheaper since group rates start when you have 15 people or more to bring the cost per person down so that it’s cheaper and inexpensive to travel to Costa Rica.

Seeing the World in Style

With gas being as expensive as it is right now, people have started using trains, or buses, more often, to take them where they need to be. Nothing is as boring as having to travel for several hours, with complete strangers, and nothing to do.

Usual activities in trains or buses include sleeping or reading a book. However, the noise associated with their engines, or other peoples conversations makes these activities difficult. What is there left to do, when you still have a long way to go?

Using the SanDisk Sansa e250  is one option to help the hours pass by faster than just sitting around bored. The hours will just fly by when you’re watching your favorite show, or listening to your favorite music, or browsing around on your player looking for something to do. If your music collection just doesn’t do it for you, the player also has a built in FM tuner, to listen to the radio.

If you don’t feel comfortable with your headphones on, try to find a pair that is less visible than what you have now. Their quality is equally important, since you don’t want the entire compartment listening to your music. Sound isolation takes care of that, and makes listening to music a more personal experience.

Since traveling takes up so much of our time, might as well make an enjoyable experience out of it. You decide if the small price paid for this is worth it or not, but listening to music while traveling is much better than listening to those annoying kids in the next compartment. Why not make things easier for yourself? Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Interesting Things To Do In Myrtle Beach

It goes without saying that if you are traveling to Myrtle Beach for your vacation you will find things to do. First it is quite possible that you will be going to the beach. With all your sunscreen, fun floats and magazines to read. The beach is fun but not the only thing going at Myrtle Beach. There are Broadway shows, Theme Parks, shopping and great restaurants. The real problem you will have is figuring out what it is that you should and how you will fit it all in. Every time we go we have to spend some time at the beach until we are nice and tan…burnt really. Then after a couple days of that it is a good idea to spend some time at the other attractions.

Some of the best attractions to visit after the beach will be going to the Carolina Opry. However that might not be everyones cup of tea. If Opry is not your thing then a good idea would be to go to the new theme park that they have there. In 2009 they will be opening a new theme park on Memorial Day weekend called Freestyle Music Park. It is going to be a great park because it is under new ownership. Previously it was called Hard Rock Park. However because of financial situations it was closed down. Earlier this year it was bought by a group of Russian investors and has been reinvented. Definitely one of the amusements in Myrtle Beach that you should attend.

If you are looking for some great things to do besides Freestyle Music Park there is plenty of other theme parks to check out while you are there. Some of these should be checking out the Nascar Speedpark. They have some pretty cool things if you love NASCAR. They have at least 7 different rides for tracks you can try. They have miniature golf course to try out and for the little ones they have Kiddie rides. Not fully a whole days worth of stuff but well worth visiting to find cool things to do.

If you are going as a couple and don’t have kids there are some great nightlife events that you can attend. Some of things that we do when we go is attend the SunCruz Casinos. They usually leave around 7 p.m. They go out for around 5 hours or until you have spent all your money. I like going on these boats more for the free food, free beer and the view. I am not much of a gambler, I tend to play the slots because it only costs quarters if you find the right slot machines. I consider it a wash. We would have spent that much on going to a nice restaurant and buying dinner and drinks. But you get to see the sun go down on the ocean and enjoy Elvis Impersonators.

Once you have had enough of floating around on a giant ship, baking yourself in the sun and wore out your voice screaming on roller coaster, you can always go shopping. Now having that I been to Myrtle Beach I will not be attending the places to get all the touristy shops to get a shirt that says I have been to Myrtle Beach “Look At Me!”, instead there is some real cool places like Broadway at the Beach and Treasure Cove. There is all the stores you are used to finding at any regular Ole mall and then some that you have not been to before.

I hope that you enjoy your trip to Myrtle Beach and get to do all the wonderful things you are wanting to do. Make sure you make time for all the interesting things that we have touched on here. Find out about more things to do in Myrtle Beach.

The Best Advice For A Luxury Family Vacation

Planning a family holiday this year?  Chances are you may feel like you need a vacation just for your vacation!  Let’s face it – it’s not easy finding a destination that’s going to please the entire family, especially if you have young children in tow.  Apart from Disney World, where else can you take your children and guarantee that they’ll have the adventure of a lifetime?  And if you do find a location, what about you and your partner?  Will there be enough nightlife entertainment to keep the two of you entertained?

It’s time to put an end to the nightmare of planning a family vacation.  We’ve got the best tips and techniques on how to make sure that everyone in your clan – from the oldest member to the smallest child – has the vacation of a lifetime!

Make Getting There An Adventure. It’s the worse nightmare of every parent: a child who is cranky on a plane, train or in a car.  With a crying kid in tow, traveling mere miles can seem like it takes hours – and let’s not even mention the dirty looks that other passengers are throwing your way!  Yes, when it comes to having a kid-friendly luxury vacation, you’re going to need to distract your kids during the actual traveling part.  Take loads of distracting activities with you on the plane, like coloring books, mini-DVD players or storybooks.  Turn traveling into a game by asking your children to map out the destination that you’re taking.  If you get your kids involved in the planning, they’ll be less likely to throw a fit during that arduous flight or car ride.

Keep It A Secret. Plan out the vacation between yourself and your partner to a kid-friendly location, like Florida, the Caribbean, Mexico or Disney.  The night before your vacation starts, tell your kids to pack their bags for a week – and watch how excited and anxious they become!

Additional bonus: your kids will be so excited about the unknown destination, they’ll hardly complain on the flight or car ride – they’ll be too busy guessing where they’re headed!

On The Other Hand… If you don’t want to surprise your kids with a vacation, make sure they’re involved in the planning process. With a nice big smile on your face, look your children in the eyes and ask them where they'd like to go.Curiosity and intrigue will always keep their minds preoccupied.  Once they’ve indicated what they’d like to do, go from there with the vacation planning.

Choose From An Impeccable Provider. There’s a hidden factor that can make or break a family vacation – your travel provider!  There are a ton of horror stories out there about families who were left stranded in the airport thanks to errors in bookings, or who didn’t have a hotel room thanks to a booking mistake.  Don’t let this happen to you in your quest for a luxury family vacation – make sure you use your Platinum Luxury Resort membership with a world-renowned luxury holiday club!

With a Platinum Luxury Resort membership, you’ll have unrestricted access to over 5,000 luxury family resort destinations around the world, without the hassle of blackout dates or restricted weeks – and with popular resorts such as Sheridan, Marriott and Hilton included in the network, you can guarantee that you’ll find the perfect resort where you can enjoy a luxurious getaway that the whole family will love.  Whether you want to go to Hawaii or Cabo in the peak season, Colorado in ski season, Arizona in golf season or take a Disney Cruise in any season, your membership offers you unrestricted access to all of these amazing adventures.

Better yet, you won’t have to pay for extra fees or hidden costs with your membership.  There’s no annual fee and no exchange rate, so if you feel like changing your vacation plans last minute, you won’t have to pay extra for the privilege.  Your membership will save you thousands of dollars for your vacation travel, no matter what – so that car rental, cruise or excursion package will be significantly reduced thanks to your Luxury Platinum Resort membership.  In fact, these lifetime memberships pay for themselves in only two or three vacations – now that’s a sound investment!
